It drives well too with well weighted steering and good stability through corners. It’s not the kind of car designed to be thrown into bends, but it copes admirably and feels stable and reassuring. The Ateca is a relaxing car to drive or travel in. It’s quiet too, even at motorway speeds, which further reinforces that sense of refinement. It does corner well for a crossover of this size, helped by good body control and reasonable amounts of grip. Space is competitive and comfort is aided by cushy seats. Passenger space in the back is good. There’s plenty of knee and headroom for tall adults to get comfortable. The boot is a big and practical shape, it can swallow a baby stroller or a set of golf clubs with ease, in fact, you can fit two large and two small suitcases without even needing to remove the parcel shelf. The boot door has a function of opening and closing without hands (you need to make a movement with your leg below the bumper) if you get carried away with shopping and your hands are full. Top view camera control the situation around the car and make easy the parking into the city. Panoramic sunroof let you enjoy with beautiful views when travelling to the North of the island. The driving position offers plenty of adjustment for both the seat and the steering wheel. It?s suitable for tall drivers. It’s a great all-round family car that’s fun to drive.
